Well we are about to head out of town again, but before we do, I wanted to share a little project that we’ve been working on while we were here. We found some chairs at savers and decided that they could use a little love. It’s my first attempt at a project like this so it’s by no means perfect, but it was really fun and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.
It was ridiculously satisfying to rip off the old disintegrating velveteen and sand the chairs which were caked with dust and food crumbs and some unidentified sticky substance down to bare wood. Staining the wood was a little bit more challenging and frustrating and someday I may end up sanding them down again and trying to get them more perfect.
I have some posts scheduled for while we will be gone so hopefully this blog doesn’t get too lonely. And this upcoming trip is sure to provide excellent material for upcoming posts. (Is that a promise or a threat, you ask? that all depends on how much you enjoy hearing about our every thought and meal.)
